Rhinecliff Hotel Summer Wedding { Arius Photography } Hudson Valley NY

Many folks in this area remember the Rhinecliff Hotel as being a dingy old place with a good bar that High School kids with good ID's could hang out at.  And then someone decided it was too run down and they closed it.  A few years later someone came along and saw it's amazing potential.  The new and improved Rhinecliff Hotel was born and what a great place it is!

The bridal suites are right upstairs with gorgeous large porches and verandas that look out onto the Hudson River.  They have a cozy garden area on the top side where can host your ceremony or cocktail hour and a wonderful great room for dinner and dancing.

Sal & Christina chose to have their wedding there and honored us by choosing us as their photographers.  We loved spending the day with them, their families and friends and even knew a few folks there as well!  Turns our that one of our August couples was there and had recommended us. What a beautiful, small world.

Congratulations Sal & Christina!

Glamour Portrait Family Session - Mom and Daughters Edition

This is Kristi and her gorgeous daughters.  Kristi was the winner of a Facebook Photoshoot Giveaway that we held.  And she totally deserved it too!  She's a great mom and a hard worker and we had SO much fun.  I am really glad that she decided to share it with her daughters.  I can tell that they really enjoyed themselves.  She's done a good job!

Macro Photography at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens { Canon 24-70 L f2.8 }

(I kind of feel like I should apologize for the insane amount of eye candy in this post, but I'm just not going to.  Yes, there a ton of photos down below, but gosh are they gorgeous, if I do say so myself.  Seriously, y'all, mama nature is frickin' gorge.ous.)

I have lived in the Northeast on and off for a really long time.  Dave is from here.  And neither of us had ever been to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.  So when our friends called us and asked us to come for the weekend we jumped at the chance.  A good rooftop BBQ,  a late night excursion to some local watering holes and then an afternoon trip to the Botanical Gardens.

Perfect weekend.

Have you guys ever been to a Botanical Garden?
